Wild Heart by name.

Wild Heart by nature.

Photography

For me, it is just the best feeling working with people to capture authentic, special moments in their lives and tell their story through photography. I work in a documentary styled approach, capturing the genuine hugs, belly laughs and tears of joy as they happen. This means less looking at the camera saying ‘cheese’ and more time just being your naturally wonderful selves.

When I decided to go pro it was always my aim to be a Wedding Photographer. I just love everything about weddings and always have. There is just something beautiful about watching two people tell the world ‘I pick this human forever’. There is a way a couple look at each other on their wedding day that is so unbelievably special, and being a part of that and capturing it for people means I literally I have the best job in entire the world!

My Boudoir sessions are also very close to my heart. As a photographer you try many different avenues to see what you are good at and enjoy. When I started to work with women to photograph them looking and feeling like absolute goddesses it made my heart sing. I enjoy creating a fun and safe space for women to embrace a side of them that may have forgotten existed in amongst the demands of work and home life. The incredible feedback I was receiving from women spurred to me continue with this style of photography and really invest in this side of my work. I now offer not just a photoshoot but a full experience for women with access to a luxury boudoir wardrobe & to be styled by a hair and make up stylist.

Things I love. Apart from Photography.

  • About Helen Egan at Wild Heart Photography Taj Mahal

    Adventure

Visiting India was my biggest adventure after become a mother and it marked a turning point in my life in many ways. I left my husband and children the UK and went on an incredible journey to India with my best friend. I pushed passed my mum guilt and fears and went for it and something wonderful happened. I stood in front on the Taj Mahal with my iPhone and swore to myself there and then that when I got home I would finally buy myself a ‘proper’ camera and that’s what I did. It was in that moment, that spark, when Wild Heart Photography was truly born.

Travelling as family had always been important to me and we have started to clock up some cool adventures as the Egan clan and its been amazing to watch my children learn and grow through this.

    Music

Music is my life and I love going to gigs, festivals and even the odd rave still. One of my favourite Festivals is Sziget Festival on Obuda Island in Budapest. My husband (Chris) and I loved it so much that we managed to convince 40 of our friends and family that they would love it too and we all flew out to Budapest, and after getting married at the Fisherman’s Bastion we took our guests on a boat ride and rocked up at the festival for our reception! Going to a festival in my wedding dress has to be one of my most favourite things I have ever done.
